It's a fabulous lens, in regard with 'feeling' when using and with image quality. My prime combo is SMC-M 28/2.8, SMC-FA 50/1.4 and VS1 105/2.5. It works fine for film, but I'm missing a wide angle for APS-C.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17248800651937058264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063079619074407721.post-15487176236171695372008-10-31T17:08:00.000-07:002008-10-31T17:08:00.000-07:00Nice article. That's perhaps because the FA77 and Vivitar Series 1 105mm macro are two incredible lenses.

Other candidates for inclusion are the DA35 and the Cosina 55 f/1.2.robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08743788064455642852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063079619074407721.post-91008420947335524562008-10-31T11:22:00.000-07:002008-10-31T11:22:00.000-07:00I'm glad I'm not alone in liking the those old foc...I'm glad I'm not alone in liking the those old focus rings.

I don't feel so strange now :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063079619074407721.post-85834071347504025612008-10-31T07:08:00.000-07:002008-10-31T07:08:00.000-07:00Interesting.. I actually ended up with the same 28-50-135 combo (all Pentax M series), and I've just realized I didn't give it much thought other than thinking I needed a wide, and a tele (I "inherited" the 50/1.7). And I do find myself just grabbing them at any time just to turn the focus ring.. :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15111423263458414788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063079619074407721.post-60436638882649907812008-10-31T06:30:00.000-07:002008-10-31T06:30:00.000-07:00Well... I don't use it *photographically* anymore (replaced by a brand new FA 50/1.4), but I sometimes get to just turn the focus and aperture rings. It's delicious.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17248800651937058264noreply@blogger.com
