When it rains, sometimes it pours. Dear Pentax friends...

 Email: brqyvn@gmail.com

Thank you so much for your comments and the dozens of emails in this difficult time for me and my family. I do have a lot of "Cyber Friends" after all. I really appreciated it.

Hi Pentaxian friends.

When it rains, sometimes it pours. Dear Pentax friends, my mother passed away last night (Sunday Night). I am flying from Los Angeles to Montreal tomorrow (Wednesday Morning 6:00 A.M.) to be with my brother and sisters in this difficult time. I will do the best I can to introduce the new DSLR item promised last week. (I think I may have bitten more than I can chew!) I have the item with me and I am bringing my laptop with me. Hopefully I will have some time to rest at night and post (some news) what I promised. If I can’t bring the item with me, I will divulge what it is and why it will be so useful to photographers, and especially for Pentax K-7/K-5 users for now. Let's do that early next week. I will be flying back Monday. I'm so sorry, I thought I was going to be stronger, but it really hit me hard today. She has been my guiding light.

From my album on Smugmug: This is me and my daughter Marisa, last October, when we visited my mother for her 94th birthday. I will miss her terribly. Those that lost their mother will  understand. The circle of life continues...Marisa is now three months pregnant. This is the irony of life! My mother seeds of life will live through me, through my daughters (Sabrina and Marisa) and my grandchildren, I have one six years old grandaughter and one on the way.

P.S. Events, nature, landscape photography etc, are great, but a dime a dozen. Pictures of your family and friends are priceless.

I'm sorry to hear that Yvon. At this time, you should only worry about your family, I think everyone will understand this so do not worry, I'm sure everyone can wait a couple of days to see what you have created =).

I am very sorry. Losing a parent is always difficult. Now you are the Old One. But having a youngster waiting in the wings truly makes one understand the circle of life.

Yvon, really very sorry to hear about that. But that's life, please take care, man!

As for the camera gear stuff and blog/internet posting, those are nothing important in comparison. So, just forget about those and concentrate on more important things in the meantime, my humble advice.

Yvon, may god bless you during this time. Be with your family and please let the issues of this site and your product rest until you have had time to mourn. We will still be here for you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure we all can't wait to hear what this exciting new item is for our Pentaxs but this is a time you should be spending with your family and not worrying about this site. We can all wait. Take care.

Best wishes for comfort and healing in this time of grief. Gather strength in being strong for others, as they're looking to you.

When you come up for air, don't forget that work is a great solace/distraction. We look forward to you getting back in the mix.

I am very sorry to read that, Yvon. Be strong. I am certain that's what your mother would have liked you to be - strong!

Yvon,

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I wish all of you well with strength as you go through this difficult period. As others had said, family first and take time to grieve, but also to celebrate your mother's life.

We can all wait for your product announcement which is not as important.

Best wishes. Aaron

Andrew,

I'm hoping to put my "doodad" tomorrow. It's been hell for me this past few weeks. However, I do understand how frustrating it has been for my readers. The official model is still not produced, but I will show a mockup of it if the real thing is not received by tomorrow.

My sincere condolences.

Anyway, that was a good example why you better avoid promoting a forthcoming product by starting a hype with an upstage phrasing like "Something new is coming. DSLRs will never be the same...".

I am not even a Pentax owner but started following this blog for the last few weeks because I was hooked by the promises. Kind of frustrating experience to wait for so much time, honestly...
