What's wrong with this advice is that when the AF calibration is out, as on many K-10Ds, the confirmation light merely serves to confirm what is actually back or front focus. The sensor position is not commensurate with the autofocus area, which is in the finder section. The two must be calibrated to attain accurate focus, as they are otherwise independant, i.e., focus is NOT done from the ccd, but the finder.
