All this news of the 645D makes me wish I wasn't living off security guard wages. Maybe it's time to get an education so I can start earning more cash and invest in one of these beasts :D

Aleks,

Investing alludes to making a profit and investing in this new 645D would probably not give you enough return to justify its purchase. Studio photographers for big name agencies might purchase this camera and people that have more money than God. The simple K-x is sufficient for 95% of all of us.

My guess is that, paired with a nice selection of glass, the k-x would do for more like 99% of us. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love to handle the 645D given the chance though :P

Aleks, you hit the nail :)
I do own the K-x and am very happy with it, but of course, I can imagine the quality that comes out of this one...especially the DOF and exposure range capabilities
when you look at the price, I think that in medium format market this is really great offer together with the weather sealing, it is just perfect for any pro nature shooter
cant wait for the first pics

The photo of the lenses available for the 645D is interesting. Does anyone know where a current list of lenses with specifications for the Pentax 645 system exists on the web?

Thanks.
