Hi Pentaxian friends.

Wouldn't it be nice to try Pentax DSLRs or lenses for a Week or even a Month, before you decide to buy? Well you can.

Getting a new DSLR or an expensive lens is a major decision for most of us. Although more stores are now carrying Pentax equipment, they don't have much in stock. Who wants to buy a $1,500.00 camera or a $1,000.00 lens without trying it first!

Well, I found the solution to that. http://cameralensrentals.com/

I haven't tried their services as of yet, but I will soon. I personally just found out about them today. It's nice to see someone serving the Pentaxians needs. I say we should all try them and that will encourage them to carry even more Pentax equipment, while helping us decide on a new purchase or simply using a specialty lens for a special occasion, without having to actually purchase the equipment.

It all looks like an excellent proposition to me.

Thank you for reading,

Yvon Bourque

Yves - I have used this service and can HIGHLY recommend it. They are one of the few rental houses that offer Pentax gear and they are a great affordable resource. Their seller ratings on resellerratings.com is almost a perfect 10 and very deservedly so. I recently rented a K5 from them along with a Limited lens and LOVED it. Best regards. Jay.

I think it's wonderful and I will be using them in the coming weeks to see how they do.

I heard about this service a year or so ago and had planned to rent a 50-500 and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. I plan to use them this summer.

I heard about these guys 1-2 years ago when they first started out; PentaxForums had a few threads about them and people were excited to have this option. The guy who started the company, Barry, even joined in some discussions to answer questions and ask what type of lenses people were interested in (seeing as he wasn't a Pentaxian and wasn't that familiar with the brand). Since then, I see they have increased their offerings, so Pentaxians must be using them.

I haven't rented from them, but from everything I've read online from many users (Pentaxian or not) Barry is an excellent businessman that does his utmost best to please his clients.

SRS Microsystems offer a similar service to this to UK Pentax users.

Limited to the Pentax range of lenses only, but its a perfect way to have a go on a 60-250 :)
