A few weeks ago, I posted a partial post and a link to steevemarcoux2 blog site. Since that day, Steve purchased a Canon 7D and a Canon 400mm lens. I'm not sure if he sold his Pentax equipment, but that move will certainly cost him a lot. If he changed all his equipment from Pentax to Canon, he will be paying 2 to 3 times for his lenses and accessories. He will no longer be part of this exclusive group that is the Pentaxians. We march to to the beat of a different drum. We don't buy Canon or Canon because everyone else do. We are not followers.
However, maybe Steve is now a two brands photographer. Hopefullyhe still is a Pentax shooter. His photographs are very good and I doubt that his new 7D will make them any better. It's the photographer that takes the pictures, not the camera. Click on the image below for the full article.
The reason I think it will be a mistake on the long run is that Pentax will be introducing new cameras and lenses soon. When one gets rid of all his equipment from one brand, it's hard to come back. Pentax cameras and lenses will always be a better deal for the money. Also, Steve didn't need another camera, his photographs speak for him.

I think he explained very well his reasoning. The lack of light and fast AF Pentax 400mm lens. He made it seem like he is just supplementing his current set up beyond selling the heavy manual focus Pentax 400mm.
I also appreciated his mini review of the setup vs what he was using. I actually found it quite heartening (from his comments) that the K20D matched up favorably with the newer and more expensive Canon model as far as ISO, pad navigation, and weather sealing. Considering most consider the K-5 to be a significant upgrade to the k20D for a multitude of reasons, I doubt if Mr. Marcoux will be abandoning his Pentax system.
